[Veneto: A clean taste born from tradition and innovation]
Balan Estate was founded in 1962 by a young Sergio Balan, and winemaking began when Sergio, the father of the current owner, started in his garage.
The headquarters was built in 1966 in Trebasereghae, not far from Venice, and has since been expanded to cover 3,600 m2 of land surrounded by 5 hectares of vineyards.
This achievement was achieved not only by Sergio, but also with the help of his wife Attilia, and later by the efforts of his sons Fabio and Daniele, who now run the company themselves.
At the end of the 1980s, Balan began distributing first-class wines and spirits, maintaining its traditional winemaking methods while constantly improving both the quantity and quality.
Four generations of hard work, a constant drive for innovation, synergies between production and distribution, relationships with great producers and, above all, an unending passion for wine, have made Baran one of the major players in the Italian wine market.
Since its founding, the historic vineyards have been in Sant'Ambrogio, to which have been added those of Caneva (Grave del Friuli), Combai and Campea (in the heart of the Valdobbiadene DOCG area).
We support the conservation of landscapes and nature through activities aimed at protecting biodiversity and the uniqueness of the land.
