Italy, along with France, is renowned as a wine-producing nation. One of its wines is the rich variety that spreads from region to region. Wine is produced in all 20 regions from north to south, and with each region having a completely different climate and variety, it's like each region is an independent country. There is such a wide variety of wine produced that it's difficult to generalize it as "Italian wine."
