A deep ruby Red with a garnet hue. It has a rich and complex aroma, featuring various small fruits, especially raspberry, complemented by nuances of leather, herbs, and spicy pepper.

Production

Two different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon are vinified together. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, followed by six months of aging in barrels (one-third new barrels and the rest previously used 2 to 3 times). The wine is then bottle-aged for three months. Continued aging in the bottle is recommended.

About the Winery

Balan

The Balan company was founded in 1962 by a very young Sergio Balan, who thus put to good use the knowledge gained working with his father Giuseppe and his grandfather Jeremiah: both had various agricultural activities, but were known above all as, we would say today, specialized courtiers in the wine sector. During the First World War, Giuseppe, who left for the front, could not take care of the family business. At that time his wife Rosa Stella played a decisive role in the stability of work and the maintenance of relationships built by her husband.
