Running 200km east to west along the Mediterranean, the Languedoc is the largest vineyard in France.

Its history reaches back to Roman times, yet a free spirit that refuses to be bound by regulation still runs through it, and it is here that many of France's most innovative growers have gathered.

Southern varieties — Grenache, Syrah, Carignan — root themselves in a wide range of soils from schist to limestone, giving concentrated wines that carry the scent of the garrigue, the region's wild scrub of aromatic herbs, and all the generosity of the Mediterranean sun.
