【The essence of Nuits, and the art of a single drop raised on passion】
The story of Vincent Godier begins in 2009, with the purchase of a small vineyard near Nuits-Saint-Georges handed on from Domaine Chopin.
He works one hectare of Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmottes and a mere 0.4 hectare of Chambolle-Musigny in the parcel next to Christophe Roumier's.
The vines are worked naturally and simply, coaxing the best from soil and climate.
Organic farming began in 2016. Weeds are managed without recourse to chemicals, moisture in the soil is carefully controlled, and the land's own vitality is put to good use.
It is that unbroken attention, and the work of his own hands, that grows fruit of such natural density and concentration.
Vincent Godier makes only 5,000 bottles a year.
Every ounce of his passion goes into them.
