The grapes were harvested at the end of September and gently pressed. The juice was kept cool and subjected to cold maceration to allow for better extraction of the aromas. The wine was then left to rest in stainless steel tanks for several months before bottling, after which it was further aged before being released. It has a pale yellow colour with a greyish, metallic sheen. The delicate fruit aromas are complemented by notes of bread and hay. It has a firm structure and exceptional elegance.

Winemaking

About the Winery

Balan

The Balan company was founded in 1962 by a very young Sergio Balan, who thus put to good use the knowledge gained working with his father Giuseppe and his grandfather Jeremiah: both had various agricultural activities, but were known above all as, we would say today, specialized courtiers in the wine sector. During the First World War, Giuseppe, who left for the front, could not take care of the family business. At that time his wife Rosa Stella played a decisive role in the stability of work and the maintenance of relationships built by her husband.
