Speri is regarded the world over as one of the strongest examples of a producer with a classic Valpolicella style, faithful to the terroir. The company has remained in the family for 7 generations, and its history dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. The family has maintained the same identity since the beginning: a territorial identity and elegance that are reflected in the wines and vintages. The family has made a major contribution to Valpolicella's winemaking tradition, becoming a benchmark throughout the world. Today, the Speri family still vinifies exclusively its own grapes and follows every stage of production, from vine to bottle, with particular attention to tradition and the environment, including organic certification. The Speri winery vinifies only indigenous Valpolicella grapes. In addition to the three traditional grape varieties, Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, small quantities of lesser-known old varieties are used, such as Oseleta, Rossanella, Pelara and Cabrosina.
