Tasting notes
A wine with a full-bodied structure and dimensionality. It offers fresh, firm nuances and aromas of almonds, pears, and peaches, along with mineral notes. It still has aging potential and will continue to develop more complexity.

Production

All stems are pressed, followed by low-temperature replacement. Fermented with wild yeasts, 48% is aged in tanks, 9% in wine barrels, and 46% in 1/2 muids for 20 months. Before bottling, it is only lightly filtered without clarification.

About the Winery

Le Soula

Le Soula

In 2001 Gérard Gauby revealed that he had discovered some vines high up in the Agly valley (he had, in fact, discovered some abandoned vines in the Fenouillèdes). He told Roy Richards and Mark Walford of his discovery, which presented an opportunity for them to go into partnership. After some thought, Roy and Mark decided to commit to the venture, the reputation of Soula started to be established in 2001.
