This Carignan wine is made from old vines planted between 1911 and 1944. The soil is schist. The mosaic of plots demonstrates a commitment to highlighting the rich diversity of the terrain. This cuvée is approachable yet rich in depth and length, making it the perfect introduction to the charm of old vines. It is round and soft, yet beautifully fresh. The palate is characterized by a lingering salinity and fruitiness.

Tasting Comments

Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe blueberries, spices, and herbs such as sage and thyme. Full of juicy fruit, with hints of smoke and gravel. Full of strong minerality like flint from schist soil, with a slightly spicy and subtle minerality. Also rich in glycerin, it has a mellow and soft taste, yet a beautiful vitality and indescribable freshness. The taste is salty and fruity, lingering on the palate.

Duck or lamb confit lamb tagine.

Technical Data

Whole bunches fermented in 24-45hL concrete vats with domestic yeasts. Aged for 9 months in large wooden and concrete vats, then aged again in bottle for 9 months.
