Grenache Gris, planted in 1954. Schist soil. Iglesia Vela, meaning "old church" in Catalan, is from a single plot located near the site of the village church. This plot gives the wine a rich minerality and a long finish. It has depth and complexity beyond that of schist soil, and is characterized by a saline finish. This is a truly pure bedrock cuvée.

Tasting Notes
The aroma of tropical flowers, musk and ripe melon blend together, followed by a smooth and juicy taste that spreads through the mouth. The complex blend of iodide, the splitting and freshness of shelled shrimp, and the long lingering finish make this a powerful and complex wine.
