This 100% Syrah wine is grown in a cool vineyard at an altitude of 230m. The soil, rich in white clay called kaolin, produces a floral aroma and a supple mouthfeel. Whole-cluster fermentation and 18 months of concrete aging result in an elegant and deep flavor.

About the Winery

Clos Constantin

Clos Constantin

In 2009, Pierre Halley, originally from Argelliers, took over the vineyards of his uncle, a cooperator. There, he started to vinify his own wine but could not do so at home. So, in 2015, he joined forces with his friend Samuel Durand, former sommelier at Lavinia. In 2017, the two of them created Clos Constantin and its winery. In fact, the name of the estate is a tribute to Pierre's great-grandfather, whose first name it was.
