The northernmost terroir in the Rhône region. This region differs from the Lyonnais and Beaujolais regions further north in both climate and viticulture, and is characterized by the different grape varieties used.
Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Grown on schist soils, as opposed to granite-based soils, Viognier offers a new perspective here: the nose is very intense, delicate and fresh, and the palate has great concentration and a hint of saltiness at the end.

Pairing
Duck breast with orange sauce, pan-fried white fish, vegetable tart

Production

Vineyards located in the Seyssuel hills, on the left bank of the Rhône, north of Vienne. Schist soil.
Located in the northernmost part of the Rhône region, it spreads out on a west to southwest facing slope, with a relatively high planting density of approximately 9,000 plants per hectare.

The grapes are hand-picked, pressed and the juice thoroughly clarified.
Alcoholic fermentation proceeds slowly at low temperatures, and malolactic fermentation is completed.
Aging takes place on the lees for 10 months.
