By waiting for the best lunar cycle to drink it, you can enjoy its delicacy and balance.

The name Lunalonga comes from the combination of "luna" ("moon" in Italian) and "longa" ("long" in Veneto dialect) and through this name we wanted to pay tribute to the rural wisdom inherited from our grandparents, the respect for the phases of the moon in agriculture and the natural process that wine requires in the cellar.

About the Winery

Balestri Valda

Balestri Valda

Balestri Valda is a family-run winery, originally founded by Guido Rizzotto, and now lovingly guided by his daughter, Laura. Nestled in the volcanic soils of Soave, they grow local grape varieties such as Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, producing wines with a true sense of place. Their commitment to organic farming is matched by a deep respect for biodiversity, and even includes caring for bees. The basalt-rich soil imparts rich flavors and balance to the wines, while limestone in the ground adds a vital mineral mix for the vines. At the heart of their approach is a dedication to nature—no chemicals, only sustainable methods for their grapes and olives. The whole family is deeply involved, with Milena, Guido's wife and Laura's mother, offering her steady support and keeping the family in balance. This land has nurtured vineyards for centuries, and today, the hillside plots bask in sunshine, making the most of the region's warm climate. By carefully limiting the yields, they ensure that each bottle reflects the highest possible quality of their craft.
