This 100% Chenin Blanc comes from a terroir of red clay and limestone. Hand-picked and brewed with natural yeast, it offers a perfect balance of refreshing acidity, a moderate minerality, and rounded fruitiness. Aromas of apricot and pear are layered with nuances of white flowers, and the wine's complexity increases with temperature. This light wine, while still allowing you to experience the terroir, pairs perfectly with seasonal fish, cream stews, and herb vegetable dishes.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
It has a beautiful golden appearance and a fruity aroma of apricot and pear, with subtle hints of herbs and white flowers.
When you put it in your mouth, the refreshing acidity and moderate minerality spread in a balanced way, and you can feel the soft roundness and depth derived from the red clay.
The finish is long, with light honey and white flower notes, and the fruitiness and complexity become more pronounced as the temperature rises.
This wine exudes a sense of terroir, with the delicate character that only hand-picked harvesting and natural yeast brewing can provide.

About the Winery

Clos Constantin

Clos Constantin

In 2009, Pierre Halley, originally from Argelliers, took over the vineyards of his uncle, a cooperator. There, he started to vinify his own wine but could not do so at home. So, in 2015, he joined forces with his friend Samuel Durand, former sommelier at Lavinia. In 2017, the two of them created Clos Constantin and its winery. In fact, the name of the estate is a tribute to Pierre's great-grandfather, whose first name it was.
