This exceptional wine is made from old Pinot Noir vines planted in 1956. The supple minerality of the marl and limestone soils is beautifully balanced with the depth of barrel aging. The rich fruitiness and delicate tannins create a flavor that becomes more elegant with age.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Deep ruby in color, the aroma is of ripe cherry and raspberry, with floral nuances of violet and rose, and subtle vanilla and spice from the oak.

When you put it in your mouth, the pure sweetness of the fruit and supple acidity are in harmony, and you can feel the delicate yet solid structure.

The finish is long-lasting, with a mineral feel and the delicious flavor of aging, quietly speaking of the classic and elegant charm of Burgundy.

Pairing
Roast duck with berry sauce
Veal roti with mushroom cream sauce
Chicken thigh stewed in red wine (Coq au Vin)

This is the oldest Pinot Noir parcel. The current winemaker's grandfather travelled to Pommard to retrieve the graftings and replanted it with this noble, yet temperamental, variety. For this reason, this cuvée is only bottled in great vintages.

About the Winery

Domaine Guillot-Broux

Domaine Guillot - Broux

The estate was created in 1954 by Pierre and Jeannine GUILLOT. In 1978 their son, Jean-Gérard Guillot, came back to Cruzille town with his wife and they created Domaine Guillot – Broux with only 1 hectar of vines. Today Emmanuel et Patrice Guillot, the third generation, is taking care of the family business.
