【エトナ最大級の土地所有者】
1930年代からエトナ山麓に、1865年よりカスティリオーネ・ディ・シチリアにブドウ畑を所有し始めたトルナトーレ家。
現在は、標高 550～700mに60haのブドウ畑を持ち、エトナDOC で最大級の土地を所有しています。
畑は、ヨーロッパで最も標高の高い活火山であるエトナ山の北側に位置します。
土壌は火山性で、溶岩の塊、灰、ラピリ（火山礫）から派生しています。
気候は温暖で、ネブロディ山脈の影響を受けています。収穫とブドウの選定は手作業で行われ、ワインはエトナの玄武岩が壁と床に敷き詰められた地下セラーで、オーク樽熟成されます。
再生可能エネルギーを使用しており、ワイナリーは非常に近代的でありながら、環境への影響を最小限に抑え、周囲の環境を最大限に尊重しています。
また、オーガニックへの転換を図るため、ブドウ畑での化学物質を使用しない在り方を構築しています。

The Tornatore family has owned vineyards at the foot of Mount Etna since the 1930s and in Castiglione di Sicilia since 1865. Today, they own 60 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 550-700m, making them one of the largest estates in the Etna DOC.
The vineyards are located on the north side of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. The soil is volcanic, derived from lava blocks, ash and lapilli. The climate is mild, influenced by the Nebrodi mountain range.
The harvest and grape selection are done by hand, and the wine is aged in oak barrels in underground cellars with walls and floors lined with Etna basalt.Using renewable energy, the winery is highly modern, yet with minimal environmental impact and maximum respect for the surrounding environment.
In addition, we are working to transition to organic farming and are creating a system where chemicals are not used in the vineyards.
