[The new brilliance of Irancy, where the tradition and passion of Burgundy live on]
Maison de la Chapelle was founded by Burgundy couple Delphine and Grégory Viennoy, and released its first vintage in 2014.
Delphine's family is a grape grower, so she has many connections with wineries in Burgundy.
Meanwhile, enologist Gregory has trained under renowned Burgundy producers such as Jacques Prieur and de L'Arlot, as well as Smith Haut Lafite and Stéphane Durnoncourt in Bordeaux, and M. Chapoutier and Ferraton Père & Fils in the Rhône.
He is now back in Burgundy, where he heads his own organisation and also serves as technical director of Domaine Laroche in Chablis and as consultant to Quinta do Monte d'Oiro in Portugal.
The domaine is located in Irancy AOP and produces cuvées per plot, highlighting the unique Burgundy concept of "climats".
They respect Burgundy know-how and tradition, producing wines based on Pinot Noir, making them one of the promising domaines producing precious wines in the lesser-known Irancy region.
