Voladeros is the first "Mountain Wine" produced in Málaga since the late 19th century. Victoria Ordóñez's new project aims to revive the production of "Mountain Wine" using grapes from the Pedro Ximénez variety, which is highly regarded in Málaga, harvested from vineyards in the Montes de Málaga Natural Park.
Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Delicate and elegant. Bright straw yellow. The aroma features flowers, citrus, fresh fruits, lemon peel, lemon, green apple, and a very elegant and light spicy impression. On the palate, it is very fresh with minerality, with a slight saltiness. Fruity and well-rounded, it spreads across the mouth, and the finish is long-lasting. Even at the start, it is a very elegant and balanced wine.

Pairing

Production

Voladeros symbolizes the revival of a style of wine that disappeared in the late 19th century. Known as mountain wine, it is a gentle, dry Pedro Ximénez with an alcohol content not exceeding 14%. Pedro Ximénez, or Pelo Ximen, is the wine that has given Malaga its greatest fame, and anyone writing about this city remembers to invoke its name, Malaga wine.

About the Winery

Victoria Ordoniez

Victoria Ordoñez

Ever since Victoria Ordóñez can remember, wine has been part of her life. Her father, José María Ordóñez, was a pioneer in the Spanish wine industry, selling fine wines throughout the province of Malaga since the 1950s. Victoria's own professional career took a different direction (she studied to become a doctor and obtained a doctorate in medicine), but in 2004 she decided to enter the wine business, initially combining it with her work as a health services manager.
