Planted in 1983, aged in barrels for 11 months. The soil is difficult to work and very fragile, one of the reasons the vineyard was abandoned after the phylloxera crisis. The resulting wine is wonderfully lively and minerally. The aroma is captivating with a crisp impression. It is rich and full-bodied, with an ideal balance of ripe fruit and freshness, resulting in a full-bodied finish with rich butter and citrus flavors.

Tasting Comments

Tasting Notes
The wine offers aromas of pear, tangerine oil, buttery pastry, and salty notes. Medium to full-bodied, it has a silky smooth mouthfeel and a light, airy attack. The vibrant, refreshing mid-palate really adds to the appeal.

Pairing
Seafood, white meat

Technical Data
  • This terroir is difficult to work and very fragile. For this reason, it was abandoned after the phylloxera plague. The wines from this estate are very pure and mineral, and require 2-3 years of bottle aging to harmonize. From 2000 to 2011, the wines were aged for 18 months in barrels that had been used 2-3 times, but since 2012, this period has been reduced to 11 months to preserve the wine's energy. All wines are bottled without collage or filtration, preserving the wine's original character.
