Cultivation characteristics

Vineyard characteristics: The Château owns 91 hectares of vineyards, of which approximately 60% is located on the upper part of the hill, where the soil is thick and well-drained, making it ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, while the remaining 40% is located on the lower part of the hill, where the soil is more clayey, and is used for Merlot.

Age and management: The average age of the vines is 45 years, with the oldest reaching 80-100 years. These old vines bring depth and complexity to the wine.

Characteristics of brewing

Harvest and fermentation: The 2003 harvest ended on September 25th and fermentation was carried out using traditional methods.

Ageing: The wine is aged in barrels for a minimum of 18 months before bottling.
