Based in the village of Ollón in the Rioja Alavesa region of Spain, Bodegas y Viñedos Zuazo Gastón is a family-run winery that combines passion and innovation passed down through generations.

History and tradition

Founded in the 19th century, the Zuazo family has been dedicated to winemaking for many years. In 1908, they built a cellar equipped with a stone press and have a history of carefully handling grapes using traditional equipment. In 1989, Prudencio Zuazo Gastón dreamed of fermenting his own grapes in his own cellar and began planning his own winery. After a decade of developing and expanding the vineyards, "Bodegas y Viñedos Zuazo Gastón" was officially born in 2001.

Today, the company owns over 100 hectares of vineyards and has a 4,000 square meter state-of-the-art winemaking facility.

Terroir and winemaking philosophy

Zuazo Gastón meticulously manages its vineyards, emphasizing an approach that allows the wines to reflect the unique characteristics of the land. By understanding the materials, geology, and microclimate, and utilizing temperature control and maceration techniques, they pursue optimal extraction of the grape polyphenols and aromas.

The brewing facility is equipped with modern equipment and quality control is carried out by combining traditional methods with modern technology.
