Collection: Alsace
Alsace, located in the northeastern corner of France, is different from other French wine regions and is heavily influenced by Germany and France. This is the result of the region having passed back and forth between German and French sovereignty over recent centuries, and is evident not only in Alsace's architecture and culture, but also in its wine.
Alsatian wines are produced under three main appellations. White wines (both sweet and dry) are Alsace and Alsace Grand Cru, and sparkling wines are Crémant d'Alsace. Almost all wines produced in this region fall under one of these three designations. Alsace Grand Crus are produced in one of 51 vineyards located north and south of the region.
