Les Chevrières is a Premier Cru wine representing the Maconnais region. Its delicate aromas, reminiscent of white flowers, pears, and white peaches, harmonize with rich fruit, firm acidity, and minerality derived from limestone. Aged for 12 months in 228L barrels, it develops a rich and elegant flavor. It pairs well with seafood dishes when young, and roast chicken and mushroom dishes as it ages. This high-quality Chardonnay also has attractive aging potential.

Tasting Notes
The appearance is a shiny pale gold.

The glass releases a delicate and elegant aroma reminiscent of white flowers, pear, white peach, and lemon peel, with subtle nuances of toast and hazelnut.

The palate is smooth, with a beautiful balance of the richness of ripe fruit and lively acidity.

The minerals from the calcareous soil give the taste tension and depth, and the aftertaste is long-lasting with refreshing citrus nuances.

Technical Data

Vineyard

Les Chevrières is one of 22 parcels classified as Premier Cru due to its excellent sunshine and clay-limestone soil. Located at the top of the Château-Trey hills, the vineyard is certified organic and produces exceptional grapes with a rich concentration and finesse.

Vinification
After gentle pressing with a pneumatic press, the wine is aged in 228L oak barrels (used 3-4 times), about a quarter of which are new. Fermentation is carried out with wild yeast. After aging for about 12 months, the wine is lightly filtered and bottled.
