Pale yellow in colour with greenish hues, the nose is initially subdued but as it gradually opens up it reveals very fresh citrus and grapefruit notes, followed by more elegant notes of white flowers and star anise, and finally notes of white and yellow fruits (white peach, nectarine, apricot) that are expressed with floral, fruity and flint-like complexity.
In the mouth, it has a fresh and dynamic attack, which develops the body of the wine and gives it a rounder impression with a very beautiful texture. The acidic mouthfeel is smooth and mellow, and continues on to a very long, fresh and refreshing finish, which has a beautiful mineral and salty finish.

Cultivation
Yield: 24 hL/ha → divided into three: Château Smith Haut Lafite, Les Hauts de Smith, and Le Petit Haut Lafite.
Age: 38 years

brewing
The grapes are hand-picked in small containers and pressed in an oxygen-free environment using inert gas to preserve the aromatic potential of the grapes, then fermented in French oak barrels and clarified at low temperatures.

Aging: Aged for 12 months in barrels (50% new barrels + 50% 1-year-old barrels) at our own cooperage on the lees.
