【The Quintessence of the White Wine Holy Land, Woven by Montrachet's Esteemed Family】

A distinguished and exceptional village-level wine crafted by Ramonet, a prestigious family emblematic of Chassagne-Montrachet. The Chardonnay, rooted in limestone soil, displays aromas of white flowers, lemon, and pear fruit, layered with savory nuances reminiscent of hazelnut and brioche. A magnificent balance is achieved through vibrant acidity, rich fruit, and saline minerality. The pure and profound taste, characteristic of Ramonet's unwavering adherence to tradition, quietly speaks volumes about the prowess of this white wine holy land. This masterpiece can be enjoyed now and will further deepen with age.

Tasting Comments

Tasting Notes
A pale lemon-yellow in appearance, it presents refreshing aromas of green apple, pear, lemon, and grapefruit, along with hints of mint, fennel, and lime.
The oak elements subtly recede into the background, revealing a delicate and beautiful fragrance that is unmistakably Ramonet. It offers an elegant, precise, and gently enveloping mouthfeel.
While possessing a light structure characteristic of the 2021 vintage, it never loses its refined fruitiness.
High acidity tightens the overall profile, leading to a long finish with a mineral touch.
It is enjoyable now but promises further complexity with several years of aging.

Pairing
Flounder or seabass carpaccio
Pan-seared scallops
Chicken breast in cream sauce

Technical Data

Producer: Founded in the 1920s by Pierre Ramonet. Currently led by Jean-Claude and his brother Noël, this is a prestigious domaine in Chassagne.
Soil: Predominantly limestone, from village-level plots in Chassagne-Montrachet.
Vintage: 2021 was a cool and challenging year for Burgundy. Spring frost reduced yields, but producers who meticulously managed their vineyards created wines with freshness and clear definition.
Winemaking: Grapes are delicately pressed, and new oak is used very sparingly, with the exception of the Grand Cru.
Winemaking Philosophy: The most captivating aspect is its purity. Many attempt to imitate, but few achieve the clear minerality and distinct character that is pursued.
