Palusso's winery is located between Monforte d'Alba and Castiglione Falletto, two of the five most important villages in the Barolo DOCG area. The origins of Palusso date back to 1971, when the father of the current owner, Marco Palusso, established a small winery. In 1985, Marco Palusso established a new winery, and now produces about 150,000 bottles of wine per year from a cultivated area of 28 hectares. 30% of the production is consumed in Italy, and 70% is exported. Marco Palusso came into the spotlight as a member of the "Barolo Boys" and promoted the reform of Barolo. Since 1991, he has belonged to the producer group "Langa Inn", and since around 2000, he has adopted new brewing methods and is working on making wine with a natural taste.
