[Santenay: Weaving tradition and shining new light]
Founded in the late 1960s, Domaine Olivier originated from a few vineyards passed down from grandfather Antoine Moreau-Chevalier to father Hervé.
Since then, through the purchase of plots and new plantings, the Domaine has expanded its vineyards in Burgundy, first in Santenay, then Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pommard and, more recently, Rully.
As the Domaine has expanded, it has focused on terroirs historically renowned for the white wines of Santenay. Some plots have been abandoned for over 100 years, but the white and red wines from these terroirs are now recognized as some of the great wines of Burgundy, making the Domaine Santenay's largest producer of white wines.
In 2003, Antoine took over from his father and now manages all activities of the Domaine. He adheres to his principles as a winemaker, focusing on meticulous work and occasionally experimenting with lightness in some cuvées.
