Tasting Notes

The appearance is a bright, luminous ruby color. The aroma features red berries (red cherry, raspberry) with notes of violet and a hint of spice, giving it the characteristic elegance of Volnay. On the palate, the acidity is fresh, the tannins are fine and silky, and the concentration and elegance of the fruit are pleasantly balanced. The finish is medium to slightly long, with lingering notes of red fruit and spice. While possessing the concentration typical of 2016, it is enjoyable from an early stage, with gentle aging expected until around 2027-2028.
