Planted in 1950, only 0.125 hectares are cultivated. The soil is reddish-brown with a high clay content, retaining moisture without becoming excessively humid, making it less susceptible to disease. Charmes is the largest vineyard in Meursault Premier Cru, producing white wines with a natural richness. The wines are characterized by nuances of honey and flowers, as well as delicate nutty flavors. Compared to other major Meursault Premier Cru vineyards, the minerality is subdued.
