Of all the cuvées produced by Orlando Abrigo, this one is the most French, being primarily made from Chardonnay. Its color is straw yellow with gold highlights. The aroma is rich, fruity, and complex, with nuances of wildflowers, citrus, tropical fruits, sage, and rosemary. The taste is dry, fresh, and full-bodied, with a hint of honey.

Technical Data

The two grape varieties are vinified separately and undergo different ageing periods before bottling. Both varieties undergo a short (4-6 hours) cold soak to extract the aromas, followed by soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Naschetta finishes fermentation in stainless steel tanks and is then aged in stainless steel for a further 12 months.

The Chardonnay begins fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then finishes in 225L barriques. After fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on the lees in the same small barrels (30% new) for 12 months, followed by 8 months in bottle.
