MERUZZANO is the name of the vineyard. It’s one of the 66 Additional Geographical Indications for Barbaresco wine (It’s a Cru). It is based on the south - west side of Barbaresco’s region, where the hills are the highest. (up to 420 mt a.s.l.)

Tasting notes
Bright ruby in colour, the nose reveals notes of black cherry and aromatic herbs, and the palate is dry and well-balanced, initially fruity and gradually developing into minerally tannins.

Poultry, game, roast meat, mature cheeses, spicy cheeses

Production

The grapes are gently pressed, followed by 20-25 days of temperature-controlled maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, followed by 10-15 months of ageing in 500L French oak barrels (20% of which are new), followed by 4-6 months of bottle ageing.
