Tasting notes
It presents a black cherry red color with purple hues. The aroma is very complex, with intense notes of black fruits mingling with the herbal and spicy flavors of "garigue." On the palate, the wine shows soft, rounded tannins. The 2020 Gabro has an elegant style that also impresses with its Mediterranean sensibility and aromatic expression.

About the Winery

Monteperoso

Monteperoso

Montepeloso is nestled in the hills of Suvereto near Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast - one of the hottest regions in Tuscany. The 15 hectare estate was bought by Swiss-born winemaker Fabio Chiarelotto in 1998 and since then, in order to take full advantage of the potential of the terroir, he has reorganised the vineyard - converting, pruning and even replanting many of the vines. Fabio has devoted himself to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot but also to regional varieties such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Marselan, a new variety between Cabernet and Grenache Noir, Colorino and Alicante Bouschet.
