The allure of pure Tempranillo and the depth of aging, brought to life by the limestone soil at an elevation of 820 meters.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Clear cherry garnet color. On the nose, aromas of ripe fruit, minerals, and balsamic notes expand, intensifying as the glass is swirled. On the palate, it reveals rounded tannins and a solid structure, with roasted and toasted notes, followed by cocoa and spices such as vanilla and cloves.

Pairing
Beef, venison and other game meat

About the Winery

Teofilo Reyes

Teofilo Reyes

Teófilo Reyes was a visionary, a man who divined the future of a region and its maximum exponent, a player who bet everything on a single card: quality and excellence. Since 1950 when he founded the first modern winery together with 18 associated growers in La Horra (Valladolid) until the culmination of his work with his own cellar, more than 40 years will pass in search of the best wine that the Ribera del Duero could give. What started as a small project is today a winery of 3000 m² that will be expanded to 4000 m² located in the heart of Ribera del Duero: Peñafiel.  Recently the project Teofilo Reyes has added the support of the Zuazo Gaston family, contributing to turn more decades of experience into other great denomination of Spain. Scarce grape yields and selection both in the vineyard and in the winery to get their wines back on the path of success as did Teofilo Reyes.
