"Murge" means an ancient low stone wall. The vines are cultivated on a 2ha surface, with an average age of 35 years. The vineyard is located on a sunny southeast-facing hilltop on very stony clay-limestone soil. This Mercurey is of high quality and elegance. It offers aromas of red fruit, subtle oak notes, and a well-balanced, refined flavor with smooth tannins. The palate is harmonious and has a long finish.

Tasting Notes
First, the aroma of red fruits and then the fresh oak aroma drifts. The well-balanced taste has subtle oak aroma nuances and a long aftertaste. Mercurey is attractive for its very refined flavor and smooth tannins. It can be enjoyed even when young.

Pairing
Game, grilled meat, Charolais beef, and mildly spicy sauce dishes. Saint-Nectaire and Morbier cheeses.

Technical Data

After sorting, the stems are removed and the grapes are poured into tanks using gravity.
After a cold pre-fermentation maceration, the wine is subjected to alcoholic fermentation with skin maceration for 20 days.
Malolactic fermentation is 100% carried out.
After 11 months of aging in stainless steel tanks, it will be filtered and bottled in August 2023.
