The grapes grown on the steep granite soil are carefully hand-picked and fermented at low temperatures to bring out the delicate flavors of the fruit. The wine is characterized by a rich aroma of apricots and white peaches and a mellow richness. The rich minerality and well-balanced acidity are in harmony, creating an elegant and deep flavor.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
A beautiful yellow colour with pale golden hues.
Complex and powerful, refined yet balanced.
The aroma of white flowers, ripe white fruits and white peach emerges first, followed by the typical Condrieu aroma of violets and powdery rose.
It has density, yet is not soft or tense, giving it a beautiful balance.
The candy-like flavor of white fruits and subtle hints of vanilla enhance the richness of the wine, giving it a voluminous, well-structured taste.

Pairing
Scallops, veal thymus and truffles

Production

Cultivation

The vineyards are located in the villages of Malleval, Chavanay and Vérin, mostly terraced with a south or southeasterly exposure, and the soils are mainly granitic.
To optimise yield and ripeness, the grapes are green harvested and hand defoliated.

Winemaking

All brewing is done by hand-picking the grapes, followed by cold pressing and racking.
Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation are carried out using natural yeasts at a low temperature of 15℃ in the barrels, followed by 9 months of barrel aging.
