This exceptional Bordeaux can be enjoyed now, but it has the potential to become even more complex with a few years of aging.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
[Aroma] Rich fruit aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and ripe plum, with subtle hints of cocoa and toast. Vanilla and spices from the barrels add depth.

[Taste] The mouthfeel is silky, with a perfect balance of rounded tannins and moderate acidity. The rich fruit and minerality are well-balanced, forming complex layers.

[Finish] The finish is long, suggesting aging potential. It becomes smoother and deeper with time, allowing you to enjoy the elegance typical of Right Bank Pomerol.

Pairing
Roasted duck breast with red wine sauce, mushroom risotto with truffle oil, roasted lamb rack with herbs and garlic

Production

The grapes are hand sorted three times, destemmed and optically sorted, then cooled to 6°C in a cooling room.

Each plot is gravity-fed in 22 temperature-controlled concrete conical tanks, with alcoholic fermentation taking place at 26-28°C.

All fermentation is carried out in new barrels (225L), and malolactic fermentation is also carried out in new barrels in the best areas.

It is aged for 18 months, 45% in new oak barrels, made by five coopers, and 15% in 500L barrels.

About the Winery

Château Beauregard

Château Beauregard

Chateau Beauregard is a historic winery located in the Pomerol region on the right bank of Bordeaux. It was founded in the 11th century by the Knights of St. John. The Knights used the area as a place of lodging for pilgrims at the time, and traces of this can still be seen in the current Chateau emblem. In the 18th century, the estate switched from farming, which produced a variety of crops, to winemaking, specializing in grape cultivation, and established itself as a prestigious chateau in Pomerol. The current chateau was built during the Napoleonic era and is a beautiful Gironde style building designed by a disciple of Victor Louis. In 2014, the Moulin and Cathiard families acquired ownership and carried out extensive renovations, including the addition of new gravity-fed fermentation facilities and temperature-controlled concrete fermentation tanks, allowing for precise fermentation of each plot. The 17.5 hectare vineyard is composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, with an average vine age of 35 years. In 2016, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon was also planted, and there are high hopes for future blends. The wine offers aromas of ripe plum and flowers, subtle smoky oak spice and earthy notes, with elegant tannins and a rounded finish. Château Beauregard also practices environmentally friendly organic farming methods and uses preventative measures to protect the vines and fruit during the summer rains. Combining Pomerol tradition with innovation, Château Beauregard offers wines that combine elegance and power, making it an attractive choice for wine lovers.
