Made from 100% Grenache vines over 100 years old, this red wine is smooth and full of character. Cherry and raspberry red fruit are complemented by the herbal aroma of Garrigue and subtle spices of cinnamon and cardamom. The palate is silky smooth, with firm yet rounded tannins, and mineral and earthy nuances add depth. The finish is tinged with a hint of cocoa and smokiness, revealing the delicious flavor of aging.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Deep garnet colour.

From the glass, aromas of ripe griotte cherries and plums rise in layers with rose petals, thyme, black olives, cocoa and smoky nuances.

In the mouth, silky smooth tannins spread, and the rich fruitiness and delicate acidity unique to ripe Grenache are beautifully blended.

From the middle of the palate, aromas of licorice and earth emerge, along with an iron-like minerality, and the finish is long, with spices and a subtle sweetness.

This watch embodies the ultimate balance of strength and elegance.

About the Winery

Domaine de la Solitude

Domaine de la Solitude

Domaine de La Solitude belongs to one of the oldest families in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, whose roots date back to the 15th century. In the 17th century, Hélène Barberini, descendant of the illustrious Tuscan family of the same name, married Claude Martin, owner of a vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their grandson will give a tremendous boost to the estate by creating the first label on the Appellation. Thus “the Wine of Solitude” becomes a guarantee of quality and is exported.
