A brilliant amber hue. Aromas of peach, apricot, white flowers, and a hint of brioche overlap and unfold in a complex way. On the palate, the rich fruitiness and elegant minerality harmonize, with the aftertaste gently lingering with nuances of marmalade and peach compote. This is a wine that can be expected to age well in the bottle. Its character changes whether chilled or warmed, making it a white wine worthy of being the centerpiece of any dinner table.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Pale yellow colour with golden hues.

The aroma that rises from the glass is rich, with white peach, apricot, and pear fruits layered with acacia flowers, honey, hazelnut, and a hint of toast.

When you put it in your mouth, the thickness of the ripe fruit and the smooth texture of the Roussanne spread, and the vanilla and minerality from the barrel are in perfect harmony.

The finish is long, with subtle aromas of white pepper and marmalade. This white wine combines power and elegance, and has great ageing potential.

Pairing
Sautéed scallops and porcini mushrooms in butter sauce
Chicken cream stew
Roasted lobster with saffron sauce

About the Winery

Domaine de la Solitude

Domaine de la Solitude

Domaine de La Solitude belongs to one of the oldest families in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, whose roots date back to the 15th century. In the 17th century, Hélène Barberini, descendant of the illustrious Tuscan family of the same name, married Claude Martin, owner of a vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their grandson will give a tremendous boost to the estate by creating the first label on the Appellation. Thus “the Wine of Solitude” becomes a guarantee of quality and is exported.
