Collection: Russiz Superiore

Italia - Friuli Venezia Giulia

The origins of this winemaking dynasty dates back to more than 150 years ago in Istria (Croatia), After World War 2, the Felluga family moved to Collio (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy) in and 1956 Marco Felluga founded the homonymous company. Later, in 1967, he created Russiz Superiore: the Marco Felluga Cru. Nowadays the company is a reference point in the Collio territory.

The Collio area is marked by relevant thermal excursion. The soil is called flysch or, in Friulian dialect, ponca. It originated 100 million years ago by the erosion of a limestone cliff caused by the sea that once covered this area. Each hill of has its own micro-climate and a unique soil: the ideal habitat for the cultivation of some special grape varieties typical of this area.

The company started producing white wines that can be appreciated both when they are young and after some years of bottle-aging. Felluga's wine philosophy are sustainability and environmental protection; constant research on the quality and respect of the territory, its history and traditions. Today is laria Felluga, sixth generation, who leads company.

Russiz Superiore is considered the Cru of Marco Felluga, 50 hectares of  vineyards and the production is centered on white wines.
