Friulano is one of the oldest local varieties in the Collio DOC.

Tasting notes
Straw yellow color with green hues. Intense aroma with strong hints of wild flowers, almond blossom, hawthorn and chamomile. In the mouth it is structured and enchanting, with a pleasant balance between body and acidity.

Aperitifs, seafood appetizers, shellfish, white meat, grilled fish

Production

After destemming, the must and pulp undergo a cold maceration at controlled temperatures, followed by a gentle pressing. 15% of the must ferments in oak barrels and the remaining 85% in stainless steel vats. The wine ages for eight months on the lees and then some more months in the bottle.

Russiz Superiore

The origins of this winemaking dynasty dates back to more than 150 years ago in Istria (Croatia), After World War 2, the Felluga family moved to Collio (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy) in and 1956 Marco Felluga founded the homonymous company. Later, in 1967, he created Russiz Superiore: the Marco Felluga Cru. Nowadays the company is a reference point in the Collio territory.
