This elegant Mercurey Premier Cru vineyard blends rich fruit with fine tannins. Ripe red fruits are layered with spices and subtle oak aromas, creating a rich, deep flavor. This wine combines the power and delicacy typical of the 2022 vintage.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in color, the aroma is rich and complex, with red fruits (cherry, red currant) as well as spices, rose petals and a subtle hint of oak.
As it comes into contact with air, the aroma of maturation, such as undergrowth, damp soil, and truffles, emerges.
In the mouth, the concentrated fruit and fresh acidity are beautifully balanced, and the supple tannins envelop the whole. From the mid-palate to the finish, nuances of spice and vanilla from the oak spread, creating a deep structure.

Cultivation

A 4.9ha monopole field.
Terroir: Located on a south-facing slope, on calcareous soil mixed with brown stones.
Composition ranges from clayey to silty clayey.
Average age of vines: 42 years

brewing

The grapes are all hand-picked and sorted by hand. They undergo a cold pre-maceration before fermentation, followed by a 15-20 day cuvaison.
During fermentation, regular punching and remontage are carried out to promote the extraction of the wine's structure and aromas.
Aging: 12 months in 100% French oak barrels, 30% new.
