[A prestigious winery that owns eight Cru Barolos]
Founded by Giuseppe Sordo in the early 20th century, Sordo is now run by his grandson, Giorgio Sordo. The winery is located in Castiglione Falletto, at the foot of the Barolo hills. It covers a total area of over 50 hectares, of which approximately 40 hectares are currently under vine.
In particular, Sordo's greatest advantage in Barolo is that it owns the largest area of eight crus.
The vineyards use modern agricultural techniques and are extremely respectful of the environment and ecosystems, so the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides is completely prohibited. The cellars are equipped with modern vinification, bottling and storage facilities, alongside a special ageing cellar with over 100 large barrels.
This allows us to produce high-quality wines with rich flavors, aromas and a long finish, while strictly respecting local traditions.
Sordo's wines are the product of a deep love for their land and vineyards, and the crystallization of an unconditional passion for their work and their hometown.
