Born into a family of Burgundy wine-growers, Alain Gras moved to the beautiful hilltop village of Saint-Romain, located between Meursault and Pommard, in 1979.
The Saint-Romain vineyards, protected from the wind by cliffs, comprise just under 15 hectares of limestone soil ideal for producing great wines, both white and red, as well as Meursault and Auxey-Duresses, which produce Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that are true expressions of the terroir.
Alain and his son Arthur work actively in the vineyards and cellars to offer wines of straightforward style, elegance and pleasure to drink.
Today, Arthur is at the helm of the Domaine, working with passion and respect for the terroir.
