Domaine Colin-Morey was established by Pierre-Yves Colin, son of Marc Colin, upon his marriage to Caroline Morey, daughter of Jean-Marc Morey. Inheriting vineyards from both families, the domaine is based in Puligny-Montrachet and is renowned for its highly precise white winemaking. They are characterized by sustainable farming methods and an extended élevage in large demi-muid barrels, which results in concentrated fruit flavors even for their village-level wines.
Tasting Notes
The wine has a brilliant pale lemon-yellow appearance. The aroma combines white flowers, pear, and citrus peel with a subtle nutty scent from the oak. On the palate, there is a rich concentration of fruit, firmly supported by the acidity. The finish is of medium length with mineral notes, offering a surprising depth of flavor for a village appellation wine. It is best enjoyed within the next few years.
