Petite Chapelle, a Premier Cru vineyard, is located directly adjacent to the Grand Cru Chapelle-Chambertin. As its name suggests, meaning "little chapel," its light topsoil yields a wine that possesses the elegance characteristic of a Grand Cru, combined with the structure typical of Gevrey. The 2019 vintage, produced by the esteemed Trapet family, established in 1919 and renowned for biodynamic viticulture, benefited from stable weather conditions from flowering to harvest. The result is a well-balanced wine with both concentration and freshness.

Tasting Notes

The wine has a brilliant, deep ruby color. The aroma is a floral bouquet of peony and orange peel, intertwined with notes of cherry, undergrowth, and forest floor. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with pleasant, fine, powdery tannins and a lively acidity that firmly supports the fruit core. Concentrated fruit flavors unfold in the mid-palate, leading to a long, smooth finish. This wine is both youthful and promising, enjoyable from now through the early 2030s.
