The aroma is of black fruits such as blackberry and cassis layered with nuances of black pepper, smoke and cedar, with truffles, damp earth and wild herbs quietly emerging in the glass.

The tannins, achieved through 20 years of aging, are as supple as silk, with an elegant structure that harmonizes fruitiness and umami.

It has a deep finish that is typical of a prestigious Northern Rhone wine, with a sense of tension from the minerals and a lingering smoky and spicy finish.
