This exquisite blend of Marsanne and Roussanne comes from Saint-Joseph, a renowned Rhône region. Its aromas of white flowers, pears, and nuts harmonize with its rich fruitiness and pleasant minerality. Its depth and soft finish, derived from barrel aging, make it an excellent partner for fish dishes, creamy sauces, and cheeses. It's the perfect wine to add a touch of elegance to any special occasion.

Owning & Enjoying

Tasting notes
Pale golden in appearance, the aroma offers white flowers, acacia, pear, ripe apple, hazelnut, honey and a hint of vanilla.
When you put it in your mouth, the rich thickness of Marsanne and the elegance of Roussanne are in perfect harmony.
While it has a solid structure, the minerality derived from the granite soil tightens the overall flavor, and the aftertaste leaves a subtle spice and refreshing citrus notes.
With ageing, the nuances of nuts and honey will deepen, giving this wine the potential to become even more complex.

Pairing
Roasted white fish (sea bass or red sea bream) with lemon butter sauce
Chicken stewed in cream (fricassee style)
Mature cheese (Comté, Beaufort, etc.)

Production

Cultivation
Vineyard: A blend of six plots distributed from the north to the south of the appellation.
The vineyards are located on south-southeast facing slopes and on high ground overlooking the Rhône River.
The planting density is 8,000 to 10,000 plants per hectare.
Terroir: Planted mainly on granite-sandy soils, with some clay-limestone soils.

Winemaking
Vinification: Each plot is vinified and aged separately. After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed and the juice is racked. Alcoholic fermentation proceeds slowly and malolactic fermentation is complete.
Aging: 10 months in 225L and 400L barrels, of which approximately 15% are new.
