This Blanc de Blancs is produced by the prestigious Jacquesson, a winery that even captivated Napoleon, from Avize Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs. This cuvée is a blend of Chardonnay from three renowned plots (La Fosse, Nemry, and Champ Cain), planted between 1962 and 1983 and facing southeast, truly reflecting the essence of Avize. 1995 is considered an outstanding vintage, lauded as the best Avize Grand Cru Jacquesson has produced to date. Layers of peach, spring flowers, almond, beeswax, and chalky minerals are densely intertwined, and the elegant finish, woven from the complex flavors cultivated through long-term aging and a firm acidity, eloquently speaks of the terroir.

Tasting Notes
A well-aged, mature Blanc de Blancs. Youthful and refreshing minerality and citrus are complemented by nuances of age, such as walnuts, acacia honey, and dried herbs, creating an expressive and promising profile. In the glass, aromas of peach, spring flowers, almond, beeswax, and pastry unfold densely. On the palate, a chalky, saline minerality pierces through, while firm acidity and mature complexity lead to an elegant, long finish. This wine combines the rich volume derived from the lower slopes of Avize with the tension characteristic of a Grand Cru.

Cultivation Information
・A blend of three lieux-dits "La Fosse", "Nemery", and "Champ Cain" in Avize Grand Cru (Côte des Blancs)
・Each plot was planted between 1962 and 1983, facing southeast.
・Jacquesson has been owned by the Chiquet brothers since 1974. They produce each cuvée from approximately 30 hectares of their own vineyards plus approximately 10 hectares under supply contracts.
・Their philosophy is to respect the soil and practice parcel-by-parcel vinification.

Winemaking Information
・Type: Blanc de Blancs
・It is the maison's custom to age the cuvées for a long time before releasing them to the market.
・The 1995 vintage was considered the best Avize Grand Cru ever produced by Jacquesson, and a small number of bottles were kept for late disgorgement (D.T.) after long aging.
・The D.T. (Dégorgement Tardif) version is finished as Brut Nature (no dosage).
・Jacquesson's D.T. undergoes a longer lees aging period than the regular version and a long resting period after disgorgement.
