Collection: Domino de la Granadilla
[Producers contributing to improving the quality of Rueda]
Dominio La Granadilla is a family-run bodega located in the town of Navas del Rey, in the heart of Rueda, and is run by four brothers and sisters.
The 70 hectares of vineyards are planted with the local Verdejo grape variety on stony, calcium- and magnesium-rich soils at an altitude of 750m, resulting in a cool-tasting wine that reflects the continental climate and the influence of the Atlantic breezes.
The modern bodega is equipped with the latest technology and its goal is to "produce the best wines in DO Rueda."
The brothers Luis, David and Miguel are in charge of managing and monitoring the vineyards, a role they have been carrying out with great care and dedication for over 20 years, always incorporating modern techniques such as night harvesting, which protects the grapes from sunlight, preserving their quality and minimizing oxidation of the pulp.
Roberto, the other Descalso Matos brother, is in charge of the entire winemaking process and has already demonstrated his excellence despite not having had many vintages to his name.
