Collection: Domaine Alain Chabanon

France - Languedoc

The Domaine was founded in 1992, transitioned to organic farming in 2002 and biodynamic farming in 2011. Today, it owns 17 hectares of vineyards and has grown its production from 2,000 to 55,000 bottles in 26 years.

terroir

The total area of the 17 hectares of land is spread across five villages, which allows for a variety of microclimates and soil types.

"My vision for wine can be summed up in two words: subtlety and refinement. I seek wines that are different, wines with true character. Wines that can rival the world's best wines and complement the finest food."

In the vineyard

The entire vineyard follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture: the land is simply cultivated, herbicides are not used and the use of any chemical fertilisers is prohibited.

Winemaking

All grapes are hand-picked. Harvesting takes place between 7am and noon, allowing us to benefit from the cool morning temperatures. The afternoon is devoted to grape sorting. This is a crucial step, as it removes all undesirable elements and ensures that only healthy grapes make it into the vats, guaranteeing quality. Only indigenous wild yeasts are used in the vinification process.
